When it comes to choosing a record cleaning brush, there are four main options: drum brushes, line brushes, plastic sticks and vacuum cleaners. A brush with multiple bristles is better for long-term and deep cleaning of your records. A brush with a single stiff bristled brush is best for dusting. As you become more experienced with record restoration, you may wish to venture into using specialty brushes such as the espresso brush or the flexi-brush, but for the time being, get yourself some quality brushes.
